Frappe Version 5 is very slow!

Hi.

I have been testing my frappe version 5 and i noticed that it is very slow. For instance setup module take too, but really too, much time to load. Ok, after data is cached it is very fast… But we need refresh and after that here we go again!

I’am testing in vagrant (but version 4 it is much faster with vagrant!) and i noticed that your Erpnext demo it is more faster in the first access (at loading page).

My question is:

Do you have a clue what maybe causing this?

And i have one suggestion too:

I thinks the framework needs give more feedback to the client about loading pages! In my case, and because it is very slow, at loading the page seems that it is freezing.

Hi Luis,

What browser are you using?

This happen to me once, with Chromodo, a Chrome variant, and tried afterwards with Firefox, and came back to normal speed that I am still enjoying.

I try with firefox (safari, chrome) in ubuntu and macos and no luck. It takes 51,91 seconds to open setup module.

Sorry, I am afraid that that is as far as my little knowledge about ERPNext arrives.

Im my case I am not very sure, but I think to remember there was an issue with permissions coming out in Java Script error console.

Agree with @luisfmfernandes v5 takes much time in transition between two pages compare to v4.

@luisfmfernandes 50 seconds to open setup is too much.

Maybe you have very little RAM and there is too much disk writing.

The only major infra change is moving from memcached to redis. We have noticed a slight difference too. But its pretty okay.

Yah. It seems the problem is with my Mac.

With VM it takes too long…
