From Date in Salary Structure cannot be lesser than Employee Joining Date

I have defined a salary structure starting 1-12-2016 to 31-12-2017. Now I create a new employee whose joining date is 11-1-2017, the system is not allowing me to add this employee in the existing salary structure. What should I do?
