I am having a hard time figuring out whether the current CRM Module will stay or if it is going to be replaced by frappe CRM in newer ERPNext versions. Anyone with solid information regarding a possible migration? As of now, I wouldnt like users to work with “two different” systems and rather wait for an implementation or use a more robust CRM system connected to ERPNext.

There is no plan to remove the existing CRM module in ERPNext, but there won’t be any major feature addition as well.
Our recommendation is though to use Frappe CRM for better user experience. (This is what we do in Frappe)
How can we avoid duplicate doctype creation and keep the database size down while using two CRMs?

We just started testing ERP Next coming from Odoo Enterprise. It looks really interesting and I like it until now. For our use case, we need a CRM that is deeply integrated with the ERP, meaning that we can use the same contacts / companies, access the items (Products) when making quotations, etc. Therefore, the CRM app inside ERP Next seems the way to go. However, reading through the forum on the topic of Frappe CRM vs the CRM module in ERP Next, I get the impression that this CRM module will be somehow abandoned. In this case, I am now unsure if moving to ERP Next makes sense for us. I want to get clarity on this topic before committing to use ERP Next + Frappe Cloud. I really don’t understand why an ERP like ERP Next would not have a robust CRM module deeply integrated with the rest of the business management module.
