I'am working with customization of ERPNext, to integrate the sales process, with especific files of my organization.
We design furniture for such use proprietary software CAD, currently, we know the entire structure of this file, however, have some questions about how to implement the best possible integration with ERPNext.
Currently, we have developed a mechanism to bond with DropBox - with Chooser API, see picture, what we intend to do is:
Find a xml file that is embedded in the body of the CAD file, describing the mobile, and bear the costs.
However, we have a particular situation, where each item of furniture the planned sale, is unique - because of the flexibility of planed furniture.
A planned environment, has many items that will be purchased in future by my sales department, see below.

The big question is:
With each sale, should I create a new product for each item sold? - If yes: the best way is the List of Materials Sale?
Or should we create generic items according to the environmental group planned? - If I use the generic items, implementation is easier, however, can not think of a way to set the price of the product.
From what I understood, the CAD software's xml file is a Bill of Materials, that eventually is turned into a new Product. You can mix and match items to create different combinations of Bill of Materials which will lead to a different product. You sell this new product at desired price.
Correct me if I am wrong or read on.
You should create a unique Item Code for each combination so that you can track the Gross Profit. There are two ways to do this.
If you intend to use Manufacturing module and keep track of various expenses while manufacturing, you should use Bill of Materials. (Pg. 97)
Else, you can use Sales BOM. (Pg. 43)

Yes, I shoud create a unique Item Code for each combination!
We plan to use the Manufacturing Module, even though we do not actually produce a product, we integrate many parts into a new product.
We are trying to simplify the process as much as possible from the sale, why, our sales people, no holds knowledge about the complex structure of our products, just for working on a CAD platform. Only our product engineers, is that holds knowledge about the specifics of each item.
