Gate Pass Policy for Employees Leaving the Company Premises

I am seeking guidance on implementing a gate pass policy for employees who need to leave the company premises for personal reasons. We would like to ensure proper documentation and time tracking for such cases.

Our proposed process involves the following steps:

  1. When an employee needs to leave the premises, they must obtain a gate pass issued by their department head. The gate pass will include the employee’s leaving time.
  2. Upon the employee’s return to the company, the watchman will mark them as “IN” to indicate their presence.
  3. The duration of the employee’s absence for personal reasons will be deducted from their total work hours.
  4. The employee’s salary will be calculated based on the adjusted working hours.
