"Get Employees" button disappearing after a split second after creating payroll entry

After setting payroll details like frequency and dates and saving the doc, that button is supposed to show up.

Frappe HR version: 15.47.3

figured out the issue. My fault. It was due to buggy javascript code from a custom app that I had created.
