GSTR-1 Upload Error: "Error in JSON Structure Validation"

While uploading GSTR-1 using the India Compliance app, we are encountering the following error:

Error in JSON structure validation.

Has anyone faced this issue before? What could be causing this validation error, and how can it be resolved?

Any suggestions or guidance would be appreciated.

Kindly share the app version.
If possible, kindly share the JSON at [email protected] for debugging.

Likely cause: App version mismatch with GST portal schema update.
Fix:
bench update --pull
If already up-to-date, check custom fields on Sales Invoice / GSTR-1 they can inject unexpected keys into the JSON. Remove any that aren’t essential.
Still failing? Run frappe.log after the error the portal usually returns the exact schema violation in the response body. Share that for a precise fix.
