Help! After update I get a blank screen after login

Hi

I have set up a local instance of erpnext on linux.

After the update, I clicked “clear cache and refresh” and I got a blank screen.

I restarted the system and could login. I saw all new icons but when I clicked on Setup icon, I got a blank page.

I again restarted the system and now when I login, I am getting a blank page.

What can I do…this is very urgent.

How did you update?

Go to the erpnext install folder using terminal and tell us output of:

ls -l [erpnext folder]

I updated by clicking on "Get Latest Updates " in Setup.

Hey it should work now.

Just make sure you change owner of all files in erpnext folder to apache user so that you can pull further updates using the update UI

Ok. open the browser's console and tell us the output of the console when you try to login. There should be some error message.

Also check the network tab of the console and tell me what you see there.

it worked finally.

I don't know how. I just refreshed the blank page. It still did not fully load but I could access the top buttons. So i cleared cache again and refreshed and it worked.

These days, browsers do a lot of caching. Refreshing about 2 times does the trick :)
