Helpdesk app (develop branch) fails to load on self-hosted Frappe Cloud – works fine on version-14

Helpdesk app installed from the develop branch fails to load, but the version-14 branch works perfectly on the same setup.

I’ve installed the Frappe Helpdesk app from its develop branch on my site:
helpdesk.tbo365.cloud, running inside a self-hosted Frappe Cloud instance (Press-managed, bench: bench-test).

After successful app installation and bench deployment via the GUI, the Helpdesk page fails to render correctly.

  • Site is running on Frappe v15
  • Helpdesk app works fine when installed from the version-14 branch
  • The issue only occurs with the develop branch
  • Bench has been deployed successfully (confirmed via GUI)
  • There’s no terminal access, so we rely on Frappe Cloud’s build pipeline

Could someone from the Frappe team or the Helpdesk app maintainers confirm:

  • Whether the develop branch is compatible with self-hosted Frappe Cloud?
  • If not, are there build steps that must be added to make it work in self hosted frappe cloud environments?
