Helpdesk customer portal access for customers

Hi All,

I installed Frappe Helpdesk (main branch) and configured email account, customers, contacts as mentioned in the documentation. I noticed a couple of issues:

  1. There was no option to invite a contact as a user (to access customer portal) inside the Helpdesk UI. I had to go to the desk and then to contacts to invite the contacts as users manually.
  2. Those invited users, when logged in, gets taken to the profile page. Not to the helpdesk (my-tickets) pages. From what I experienced, customers have to manually enter the /helpdesk part in the URL to go to the helpdesk customer portal. Am I missing something here or is that a limitation?

Appreciate your help and suggestions on this. If there are gaps, I’m happy to contribute to the project as well.
