Hi. Where do I write the macros for the custom print format?

Hi. Are the macros written in the same html editor as the print-format or are they written in some external file and then called from the editor? If so, where and how would it be done? Thanks

thanks a lot for your reply but it was not what I needed. I built html file in templates directory, then imported from jinja editor of sales invoice template
