When duplicating and customizing an out-of-the-box DocType, there’s a need to avoid confusion by preventing the original from being displayed in Global Search results. It’s not possible to modify the standard DocTypes to change the ‘display in search’ setting nor can you modify the permissions. What is the prescribed method for doing this?
Open Role Permission Manager, select the standard doctype and uncheck all permissions.
