We are a Dubai-based B2B engineering and trading company (import & distribution) currently implementing ERPNext. We are seeking an experienced ERPNext Functional Finance & Accounting Consultant on a 2- to 3-month contract to guide our internal accounts team through cutover and UAT.
Our internal accountant is very experienced in Tally, but new to ERPNext’s document lifecycles and perpetual inventory model. We have an implementation partner handling technical configuration, but we need dedicated functional accounting handholding.
Scope of Work:
- Review and validate our Chart of Accounts, Cost Centers, and UAE VAT (FTA) configurations.
- Configure and handhold our accountant on Landed Cost Vouchers (customs, freight, clearing charges for sea/air imports) and perpetual inventory clearing accounts (Stock In Hand vs. Stock Received But Not Billed).
- Provide one-on-one training to help our accountant transition comfortably from Tally to ERPNext workflows (Purchase Receipts à Landed Cost àPurchase Invoices àPayment Entries).
- Support opening balances entry, trial balance cutover, and guide a 30-day parallel run.
Requirements:
- Proven track record of successful ERPNext finance implementations for trading/distribution companies.
- Deep familiarity transitioning accountants from Tally to ERPNext.
- Solid grasp of UAE VAT, multi-currency import purchasing, and perpetual inventory accounting.
- Role can be remote (with screen-sharing/training sessions during UAE business hours) or hybrid/local in the UAE.
Engagement:
Contract / Freelance (Part-time or full-time for 3 to 6 months). Starting immediately.
