When you say Backorder, do you mean Sales Orders that are not completed ? Or Purchase Orders that are not completed in one go?
In both the cases, SO and PO stores a Delivered/ Received % which can be used to track the backordered (undelivered or not received) qty. Also the reports show you this information.
Hope this answers your question
@Manan_Shah Thank you for your reply.
If I create a sales order which qty is not totally available in the stock right now. In that case Delivery Note will be created with available items and Other items will be backordered.
I mean this for Backorder.
Hope you understand my query.
In Sales Order, click “Create” button. You can create purchase order or material request for the required quantities.
So, you can send the available items via delivery note, you can purchase additional items with Purchase Order and then you can send it via delivery note. You can track each operation fairly easy with ERPNext.
Should I create a video tutorial for it?
@TurkerTunali Thank you for your reply.
In that case, can I create delivery note with available qty? I think I cannot. On submit, shows error about the low stock qty.
What i did is in Item Table i added available stock quantity in the column and you may change the quantity in delivery note which is available in your warehouse
It can be a warning. You can deliver it if you have enough stock. Can you share the error screen?
Hi @Manan_Shah,
Can you indicate which report you are talking about?
In my business, most clients are ok with having backordered items, but they also want regular reporting on them (items and quantities ordered but not delivered).
I have not been able to identify a way to report on this yet.
Thank you!
