How can fixed Assets have warranty?

For example ,security camera is a fixed asset with a depreciation and also has a warranty of 1 year.

but warranty of item can only be managed via serial master(That in itself seems wrong) and you can enter serial number only on stock items and fixed asset item cannot be stock item.

so how would you mange this scenario ?

Just create a custom field End of Warranty…

ahh :hugs: thats always possible, i was thinking i was missing some already existing feature…

could you help me to go about creating a custom script to create a notification when end of warranty approaches.?
