While I’m trying to change method " FIFO to moving average" its says.
“Can’t change valuation method, as there are transactions against some items which does not have it’s own valuation method”
please help.!
Any Solution to this ? Other than recreating a new instance with opening entries for stock * accounts ?

Bumping, as I am having the same issue. I want to change my Stock Settings to Moving Average but it won’t let me.

@markgates @jignesh_shah @ryarrow once I have done this in past from database and it works for me.
Like if i set as Moving Avg and then tried with stock movement and it counts valuation with moving avg and then again changed it from database to FIFO and then i get valuation based on FIFO.
It’s not ideal practice to follow but I was curious at that time so I did this.
You may try in any of your test instance
