I need help of an experienced developer to develop a custom report. It has to be packaged in an app to avoid update problems.
I’d like to know what it would cost so I can advise the client. What would be the best place to post this in order for me to get a fair estimate?
Jobs get posted here. A bit of advice: the way you ask your question makes me think that you should position it as an RFP. If you’ve written it in that style, I think you could also send it directly to the gold-and-silver level Foundation membership folks since they are custom code shops all with good reputations and they can probably price it out for you.

Based on my own personal experience, while packaging customisations in a separate app is good idea, it doesn’t always cover you from upgrade issues.
The schema evolves from version to version, so you need to check if your customisations work everytime you upgrade.
