How does the report checkbox in the role permission manager work.

I’ve been experimenting with the role permission manager and noticed something. From what I understand, checking the report box for a document type should grant access to all related reports for that role.

However, when I assign a user permission for the stock ledger entry and check the report box, the user still doesn’t have access to the stock ledger report. I must manually enable that role for the stock ledger report under page and report permissions.

Am I missing something, or is this the intended behavior?
