How to add custodian of an item to a specific employee?

Hi all,

I’m currently using:
ERPNext: v15.22.2
Frappe Framework: v15.26.0

My question is: For example, I create an item- a laptop with an opening stock of 30. I want to then give each of the laptops to my 30 employees (as custodian); and manage every single one of them afterward (being able to track who is having the item, transfering items between custodians…)

Is it possible to do so?

In this case the items would be assets rather than stock items. You need to check “Is Fixed Asset” when creating the Item.

Then you would have to create Assets and there you can assign an employee as a custodian.
