How can we bill the medications given in the inpatient record?
Scenario: If i gave medications in patient encounter, then i can get items from the respected patient encounter using the get items from prescription button.
But when i didn’t give medications in patient encounter, and when the patient admitted(inpatient record) i gave medications and discharged the patient. Now how can i bill the items(medications) given in the inpatient record??
Those fields are meaningless.. You have to create a inpatient patient encounter and medications. Inpatient medication orders can be used to track medication administration.
@mujeerhashmi Yes, we can track the medication using inpatient medication order and inpatient medication entry. But how can we create a sales invoice against those medications?
Currently you have to order via the Patient Encounter to get the medications billed.
@akurungadam This is fine, but there is a chance where a doctor didn’t gave medicines while patient encounter and they may give medicines when they admitted right?
After admission also you can create Encounter. Basically Patient Encounter is a record of the Physician seeing the Patient. If enabled in Healthcare Settings you can even have these fetched for billing.
