How to configure Email Account with OAuth (Office365)?

Dear All,

I have referred all available topics to configure OAuth with Office365 for email account.
Unfortunately not able to get it working.

It would be great anyone could guide on the same and if we can have a proper documentation for the same.

Have you tried to use an App Password instead? Might be easier and more secure in case you need to revoke access

Hi:

  • What Frappe version are you using? Please, try with updated environment.
  • Have you configured your M365 tenant for incoming OAuth from Frappe?
  • Have you tested with OAuth from other tools/apps?

Configuring M365 auth apps, scopes, etc … could be a bit confusing …

  • Have you configured your M365 tenant for incoming OAuth from Frappe? → Yes
  • Have you tested with OAuth from other tools/apps? → yes, with Osticket. It works fine in other tools.

SMTP basic auth is disabled and can’t enable it any more. So I am not sure if AppPassword will work

Please, share your connected app config on Frappe and Microsoft side: registration app, permissions, scopes, etc … Mask your private data. It’s running with v14 for us.

Sorry, I didn’t see that there was a basic authentication deprecation notice already for exchange… App passwords would not work without basic auth
