How to Create a new Branch

I have 3 sales Distribution point with under One company Name how i am create the branches from ERPnext?
how to give permission to branch user can only access that branch stock and sales and payment and sales return ?

You can create multiple organization branch @
Setup > Human resources > Branch

In permission manager, you can setup restrictions accordingly.

already Create the Branch now how we can set sales orders and sales invoice to that newly created branch

in sales order or sales invoice or delivery order i cannot see the branch location section only i can see the whorehouse  details only

please give me support on this

You should create separate warehouse for each branch.

We are facing the same issue with Head Office and 2 Retail stores. We are treating retail stores as Warehouse. We can do stock transfer and Warehouse gets updated with Items and Stock prices. We are struggling to book Assets and expenses for the Branch and generate Balance sheet for the Branch. Any advise would be of great help

To create new branches in ERPNext under one company and control access for branch-specific users, follow these steps:

1. Create a New Branch:

  • Go to: Accounts > Organization > Branch (or use the global search: “New Branch”).

  • Click New, enter branch name, select the Parent Company, and save.

2. Assign Branch to Users:

  • Go to Users > User Permissions.

  • Add a new permission where:

    • Allow: Branch

    • User: Select the user

    • For Value: Choose the branch name

3. Restrict Access to Specific Branch Data:

  • Set “Apply User Permissions” in the relevant Doctypes (like Sales Invoice, Delivery Note, Payment Entry, etc.).

  • Make sure each transaction or record includes the Branch field, and that it is properly populated.

4. Enable Branch-wise Data Entry:

  • Ensure the Branch field is visible in the forms like Sales Invoice, Stock Entry, Payment Entry, etc.

  • You can customize forms if necessary to make the field mandatory.

Result:

Each user will only be able to view or transact within their assigned branch—covering stock, sales, returns, and payments—ensuring clean segregation and internal controls.
