Is it a custom or standard field?
Have you created User Permission for Employee ID? Or updated User ID in the Employee master?
Not sure I follow, but its a custom field of type data. I just need that field to default to the employee name
@ayman_elkhashab You want to try the “link” docfield type. In the Options section write Employee
From a usability perspective, you may want to use “User” instead of “Employee”; it casts a wider net.
