Why we use Newsletter here ?

Maybe i don’t understood what you mean with Email marketing, really could involve many things … You can send newsletter to customers or leads, group them in campaigns, schedule the sending process … A newsletter can content commercial or product info, offers …

Are we talking about the same thing?

I usually set up Email Campaigns and Newsletters inside ERPNext, then build my lists with Contacts or Leads. Scheduling works well, and you can track opens if email tracking is enabled.

You can run basic email blasts in ERPNext with Email Campaigns plus some custom fields for segmentation, but for anything fancier I usually plug in an external SMTP provider and trigger sends through Server Scripts or Webhooks.
