How to get late count from payroll processing?

I would like to get Total Late Count from Monthly Attendance Sheet during payroll processing for Late Deduction, how can we do that?
Can anyone help?

Why not use Half Day for recording lateness? That’s what a number of people do

i just want to get total late count for deduction from monthly attendance sheet
even we use half day for lateness, we need to enter leave record manual at leave entry as without paid leave

Any update to this? This would at least allow us to use the Late Entry and Early Exit parameters.
