How to manage self-hosted apps locally using Frappe Press?

Hi everyone,

I’m currently exploring how to manage Frappe/ERPNext apps on my personal machine using Frappe Press. I noticed there is a “Self-hosted” option under the server (Application/ Proxy/ Database) and required hostname configuration section in Frappe Press.

I would like to understand:

  • How does the Self-hosted setting affect app deployment and management?
  • Can I use Frappe Press to manage multiple apps on my local environment without using DNS services like Route 53?
  • What are the best practices for managing internal-only (LAN-based) deployments using Frappe Press?

Any guidance or examples would be much appreciated!

Without digging deep press is quite complex to configure but on the forum and YouTube there are few guides.

For small setup checkout nano_press also maybe could fit your case:
