How to record Inventory loss due to any reason in ERPNext?

Inventory loss is recorded on floor during sorting of the items. How will we record this in ERPNext? Any specific process or any round-about method.

One way is to do a Stock Entry : type Material issue and set up the items against a Write-off
expense account.
