How to set default print format for Specific doctype ?

Is it possible to assign a specific print format to a specific document, so that the default print format is when I press the print button.

a) Open the form view of the print format, click on the button “set as default”

or

b) Open “Customize Form”, select your DocType, look for the field “default print format”, set your print format, save.

as rmeyer said, you can do this by customize form of the required doc, then in the View Settings section, set the default print format…
