Hi All;

Please any buddy tel me how to set UOM as Square Meter.
Actually What I tried
> As I m dealing with Wood businees and I will buy Plywoods based on Square Meter (1 plywood sheet=2.44m*1.22 m or 2440mm*1220 mm)
>And I will use plywoods for manufacturing some items and plywoods are used in manufacturing based on Square Meter(ie length & width) ie to manufacture table I will use only 400mm*400mm of plywood in one sheet plywood(2440mm*1220)
>How should I use UOM as Sq.Meter in ERPNext and how should I deal with Length*Width?

Regards,
Rahul

Hi Rahul,

AFAIK, aren't the sheet sizes fixed, making them a unique Item Code?
I think the unit should be 1 Sheet, while the Item Description has the data of Square Meters.

Thank You Anand,

We buy plywood sheets based on Square Meter and in manufacturing also we cut plywoods based on Length*Width(Sq.Meter).
Then how should i deal with this?
Ex:If I take 1sheet(2440mm*1220mm) for cutting and in that I will cut only 1220mm*610mm and then I will remain with 1220mm*610mm plywood, so how should I do this or use this in ERPNext?

Regards,
Rahul

Workaround would be to have units in Square Meters. Add Custom Fields, Length and Width and write a custom script to calculate Qty as Length * Width.
