How to setup Email Settings for Google Apps?

I would like to change the email settings as for our corporate email
id which is hosted on google apps.
Now the settings I have done are as below:

Outgoing Mail Server : smtp.gmail.com
Mail Port: 465
Use SSL = Checked

User ID: with full email
Password:

Auto Email ID: Different from User ID.

But these settings don’t seem to work. Can some one shed some light on
this?

Worked with my gmail id on google aps!
