How to use CRM without multiple email accounts

Since there is no way to get an answer on GitHub, I am asking the community if one of the most important modules of the ERP, the new CRM, can really be used on a daily basis.

The only email address that allows you to use the application is the one you set up by default in the ERP.
Therefore, if you have set up an account for notifications as usual, you are forced to use the CRM.

Not to mention if you have more than one user who uses the CRM, everyone must use this account.

The PRs that attempt to solve this have already had their time, but what is striking is the lack of attention from the person in charge.

I am convinced that I am misunderstanding something, but I cannot figure out the answer. Otherwise, it is impossible that this application is being used seriously, while cards such as capturing leads from Facebook are being prioritized.

Frappe CRM is still work in progress and the prioritization of features is based on their roadmap.

Lead syncing can be much more important than email communications for specific businesses. And also if im not mistaken lead syncing was contributed by BWH and not the app maintainer.

Regarding your question, personally I did not find much difference between the OG CRM and this one (apart from the beautiful UI). It’s also more focused towards B2B service business and can be lacking for B2C businesses.

If the current state of the app is not suitable for you, either build a custom app with its own frontend, or fork the CRM and adjust to your liking.

You can also contribute and create PRs to help accelerate the development.

CRM is arguably the most important module after the basics for any company (stock, sales, purchasing, accounting). When it was separated, I was a little concerned because there is a policy that each programmer “owns” the decisions to incorporate features.

What I was saying is, your “frustration expression” won’t change anything because they have a roadmap they work on.

Until the maintainer finally responds or the CRM suits exactly your business needs, you can use the ERPNext module instead. It is more comprehensive, can be easily customized, and integrates well with the “communication” doctype.

Also you can try this, configure user email account in user settings, email should go from user email account.

Also in email account you can uncheck Always use this email address as sender address, it will send email by crm user name and not default email id, also if customer reply, crm user will not get reply
