HTML format not working with new Script report

I have created a script report and it created necessary files under the report folder. Also, created a HTML file so that I can customize the look and feel of the report. ERPNext does not take the HTML format. HTML file name is same as report file name and has “html” extension.

I looked at balance sheet and GL reports but couldn’t figure out a way to pick the HTML template. Your help figuring this out would be highly appreciated.

I have the same problem. I am sure, it is not at all running. For Example, we have commented the whole ‘salary_register.html’. The default ‘salary_register.py’ is running. If anyone could help where to change any settings?
