Icons for new app or doc-type

While creating a new app we are ask to provide an icons.
Where is the locations of these icons (so we can see what are the choices) and can we add our own icons there? If so, is there any restriction with format and size of these app icons?

The same questions also for doc-type.

Did you run through the tutorial? The icon will be present in the default module for you app.

Yes I have been reading the guide.

Now, is there a reason frappe is using
http://fortawesome.github.io/Font-Awesome/3.2.1/icons

and not a later version, like 4.2.

Also I was wondering how possible (complex) would it be to add another set of fonts (icon based). I am thinking about this

Its just been there for a while and they changed the icon names in version 4 - we will update in version 5.

Usually you should be able to add a CSS and it should automatically work.
