We do backups of the Erpnext on daily basis to the Microsoft cloud storage, the problem is every backup file we take is around 5 to 10 GB per day and it increases rapidly is there any ways to do incremental backups in erpnext system or give me the alternative ways to do the back.
Your SQL files are 5 to 10 GB? That’s…enormous! My organization isn’t particularly big, but we’ve been running on ERPNext for 7-8 years now and our backups are about 60 MB.
I’ve not seen a way to do incremental backups for SQL files, but it might be worth pruning back your database. Even aside from the backup storage question, you might see some significant performance gains.
thank peterg,
we have mostly pruned the unwanted data, but we have lots and lots of transactions mainly 3-4 lakhs of sales invoice, payment entry and bank transaction and nearly 20 lakhs of GL entry which cannot be deleted as we are working for a huge organization. It’s just 2 years data looking forward it will grow enormously so we are looking for any other approach
If you have version 15 then you can optimize table from Database Storage Usage By Tables report
thank revant_one I tried it and it is working
