Individual Discounts are not applied in Quotation

Recently we have had the problem that we can no longer adjust the price downwards when creating quotations.

When preparing quotations, we sometimes deviate from our standard price list and give the customer a better unit price. This has always worked without any problems for the last 4 years.

Now the problem has arisen that we can no longer offer a price below the price that was stored in the standard price list.

We have tried the following:

  1. article has a price of 9999 € in the price list
  2. we create a new offer and add 1 piece of article at the price of 9999 € to the items.
  3. we change the price from 9999 € to 5000 €
  4. we click on Save
  5. the price jumps back to 9999 €

It makes no difference whether we change the price in the table or go to the pen and then change the unit price. The price always jumps back to 9999 €.

If we change the price to 10000 €, this will be adopted.

The phenomenon is present for both users and administrators. In the sales settings, I tried to check the box “User may edit price list in transactions”, but this did not change anything. I have also not found a setting anywhere that would make it possible to create such a “minimum price rule”.

We have not knowingly changed any settings in the last few weeks, so I suspect this is due to one of the recent ERP Next updates (hosting on Frappecloud).

We are currently using:
ERPNext: v14.78.7 (HEAD)
ERPNext DATEV Integration: v14.3.0 (HEAD)
ERPNext Germany: v14.7.5 (HEAD)
ERPNext Shipping: v14.3.5 (HEAD)
European e-Invoice: v14.0.0 (HEAD)
Frappe Framework: v14.89.1 (HEAD)
Helpdesk: v0.10.0 (HEAD)
Frappe HR: v14.36.0 (HEAD)
Item Translation: v15.0.0 (HEAD)
PDF on Submit: v14.1.2 (HEAD)

Does anyone have an idea?

This was probably the same issue as described here and should be fixed in ERPNext v14.78.9.
