I created a site and used it for a while, but now I want to create a custom app for that site. Is it possible to install a custom app to that site after running the setup wizard without losing the existing data?

Sure, of course… you can have a site and install/create a new app on it without any major issues.
Simply create the app, install it, and get to work 
Thanks for your response. I tried to install a new app on my site, but there was an error that said app installation was only possible before completing the setup wizard. But when I try again, it work without any issue
