Installing erpnext on ubuntu 17

Hi i tried to install erpnext on my ubuntu 17 using easy install. i goes well 'til “run install script”, it is says
python install.py --develop --user frappe
Sorry, the installer doesn’t support ubuntu 17. Aborting installation!
Install on ubuntu 16 instead
is this happened because erpnext doesn’t compatible with the ubuntu 17?

Yes go for LTS version to try ERPNext
