Integer data type in opening stock

If the raw material is valuable then the quantity accuracy is so important. Could anyone explain the reason behind keeping the opening stock int?

Thanks for updating the opening stock in float but if i add float number it shows error “Quantity cannot be a fraction in row 1”.

You are getting this error because of the selected default UOM in the Item. The UOM is not compatible with the fraction. Check if “Must be whole number” is checked in the UOM record.
