Is there any way to trigger other doctype status from other doctypes workflow

In here i have 2 doctypes called vehicle schedule and vehicle log. in this vehicle schedule has workflow, it has a action start if user click start similarly the according document status should be also started.

Is there anyway?

You can achieve the same using server script.
