Is there any workaround to trigger doc_event on db_update using hooks?

Hi,

I have requirements to update the Stock Ledger Entry on db_update(reposting).
I don’t want to update the Standard fields but I need to update the customized fields in Stock LEdger Entry form.

If it’s not available then can we define new hook for doc event on_update?
