  1. Module Volunteers (what this Topic is about) are leading discussion/development in terms of functionality of ERPNext I believe? In that regards the Finance Committee Members (which should approve spendings of the ERPNext Foundation) do not belong here because they do not work on the finance (Accounts) functionality of the System.

  2. is the Finance Committee doing what it was supposed to do as described in the linked Topic?

  3. Is this list still reflecting the real situation? I mean is there be done any work in those Module Groups?
The fact that not the UI/UX Module Leader lead the recent discussion about removing the Desk in v12 implies this concept is not in play really. I am just wondering whether the concept of Module Groups (which I believe is a good concept) has been consciously buried as a dead end road or just faded without any particular reason

There is no such Independent Foundation exist as of now to be managed by the Finance Committee (community members driven). As per Rmehta during the ERPNext Conference 2018, the fund belonging into the ERPNEXT OPEN SOURCE SOFTWARE FOUNDATION (Section 8 Company) were contributed for the past work done by Frappe Tech and at this moment they would decide on the Finance decisions. So no point of having any finance committee.

Accounting Module (we have a weekly call every Thursday around 4.30 pm IST) and Agriculture group. Iā€™m only aware of these two being active on Telegram and activities are happening there.

well, the Foundation exists. I agree it may not be in a state which would allow such a Finance Committee to effectively do itā€™s work yet. But what I draw from your post is a ā€œnoā€ to my question whether the Finance Committee is doing what is was created for. Thanks for clarifying.

As for the Accounting Module group. Iā€™d be interested to at least read along what is being discussed in the mentioned telegram group. How could I join ?

Whatā€™s your Telegram handle?
