Localization of text in search window

Hi! Do anybody have any idea about localizing (except English language) text:

in search window? The situation of its use is wide common, but it can’t be translated by adding document “Translation”. Will be grateful for your advice!

Currently, Frappe doesn’t support translating the placeholder text in the search window to any other language. Even if you add a translation document, it won’t apply to this specific text.

Since hotkeys are definable this text is dynamic.

Now I tried in ERPNext v14.11.1 and v15.14.6, russian language and it don’t changes.

Finally it worked for me too
But:

1. search text: “Search or type a command (Ctrl + G)”,
2. and translation begins to work:

• immediately for each user only after setup another language+save and then again choose required language+save,
• and some time later for all users.

Yes, some time is needed for refreshing, probably due caching. On my side it works smoothly … but it depends on server performance, connection speed, browser …

I had a similar issue when I was helping a friend set up a bilingual online shop. The search bar text (“Search for products”) couldn’t be updated directly through the usual translation settings, and it was driving us nuts!

We ended up solving it by editing the template files where the placeholder text was hardcoded. If you have access to those files, that’s worth checking. If not, a website localization tool could help streamline the process, especially if you’re managing multiple languages across different elements.
