I am an owner of a custom sign manufacturing company in Sri Lanka. We use some modules of ERPNext successfully but we are struggling with the manufacturing module. We make signs, then go and install islandwide and also do the maintenance of signs. We issue goods for repairing of signs and actual quantities used for the repairs are known only after the servicemen return to the company. Everytime I tried to go through the whole process with ERPNext, the journey had interrupted without reaching an end. Now without trying to re-invent the wheel, I would like to talk to somebody in our industry who has gone through this process. I appreciate your response.
Couldn’t you put the items that go out on a job in the Work-In-Progress warehouse and then receive back into the warehouse what you didn’t use on a job?
