Just having a look at the maintenance module

We manufacture products (but not yet processing that through ERP) and we therefore have machines. Those machines need maintenance. So looking at the maintenance schedule

it seems that the maintenance can only be done on “items”. So if I add an item for “Machine 1” - we can then do maintenance. We add the “machine 1” item to a new item group called “machines”

The problem is that the item “machine 1” now appears in the quotes / sales orders etc

is there a way f preventing a certain group from appearing in sales?

You could have to write a custom javascript to filter on Item Group on your respective doc types like sales order etc

Go to the Item (machine), uncheck Is Sales Item under SALES DETAILS.
