Make a delivery Note that can be signed on a tablet

Is it possible to make a delivery note in ERPNext that can be opened on a tablet or phone and signed for by the customer on collection or delivery.

If this can be done the steps to set this up or a link to how to do this would be very helpful.

Hi @MHkadmin

You can create a section namely customer acknowledement on delivery note docytpe and add a field type signature. make it allow on submit.

Now you can have a submitted delivery note which can be signed by customer at the delivery time and updated by using mobile phone where there is only signature need to be inserted with no other input.

Hi

Thanks for this. I managed to add a signature field on the doctype Delivery note and when a note is made a signature is required which can be signed for however the signature doesn’t show up when I click print Delivery Note or view on PDF.

Is there a way to get this to appear on the delivery note

Hi @MHkadmin

You need to create a new delivery order print format Framework → Printing → Add Print Format

Go into the standard format and duplicate it then add the new fields you want

If you could explain exactly what I do in the new print format that would be very helpful as when I go to print format and add new print format for the deliverynote type I see a page with boxes to code.

is there a way to do it without coding and do I need to somehow link the print format to the delivery note.

I have attached a screenshot of what I see.

Try this - on the same screen untick custom format - a button “Edit Format” should appear on the top right.
Thats the low/no code print builder. Add the field where you want
