Make to Stock Cycle

Hi,

Can anybody tell me how would I know the shortage for Make to Stock Cycle?

Ruchin,

For the Make to Stock item, you should mention re-order level, and have Material Request auto-created when stock level reaches re-order level.

You should define re-order level of an item considering:

  1. Lead time
  2. Daily consumption
  3. Safety stock

Reorder level = Daily consumption x Lead Time + Safety stock

This will always ensure that you have stock of this item always available for the instant delivery.
