With the current discussion within the foundation on marketing, AdWords advertising and so on it may be good to have a critical look at the SEO friendliness of ERpnext generated pages.
I have identified the following issues:
Google Fonts:
The “Sans” font generates an error in Google Search Console.
The fetch as Google status is partial and Googlebot couldn’t get all resources for this page. Here’s a list:
URL Type Reason Severity
https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=open+Sans:400,300,400italic,700&subset=latin,latin-ext
After blanking the font field the error disappeared.
- 404 errors.

Caused by a change in menu structure…
These errors are not critical, but the ErpNext crowd user should be able to repair such 404 pages.
The sitemap.
The sitemap contains many non-relevant pages…

Just to mention a few.
I have blocked some of them using robots.txt
I suggest two possible improvements here:
a. Allow to attach one own sitemap
or b.
In the webpage section at the end…
SCRIPT
STYLE
SIDEBAR AND COMMENTS
HEADER AND DESCRIPTION
Add a site map include y/n and relelative importance (0-1)
The header allows to add meta data to improve SEO…
’
The description that is supposed to do this does not work (i believe)
Blogs…Some SEO functionality should be allowed to be entered…
