Material Transferred for Manufacturing cannot be greater than planned quantity

I’m facing an issue while creating a second “Material Transfer for Manufacture” Stock Entry against the same Work Order.

Here is the situation:

  • I have one Work Order: MFG-WO-2025-01156
  • I need to create two separate stock entries:
    1. One for raw material transferred from the Stores department
    2. Second for SFG (Semi-Finished Goods) issued from the Production department for the next process

The first stock entry for raw material is successfully accepted.
However, when I try to submit the second stock entry for the SFG item, I get this error:

Message

Material Transferred for Manufacturing (198000.0) cannot be greater than planned quantity (108900.0) in Work Order MFG-WO-2025-01156

I understand that ERPNext tracks the quantity being transferred against the planned BOM quantity, but in our actual production process, we also transfer SFG items separately as part of the same Work Order.

How can I handle such scenarios where both raw material and SFG items are required to be transferred under the same Work Order?
Is there a recommended workaround or configuration to allow this?

Thanks in advance for your help!

@Stark , is there any BOM present in the work order ? and kindly share few more details on your actual production process…!
