Max Discount not working in Pricing Rule

I created a item with standard rate 300. Then i created a new Pricing rule for that item, Discount_Percentage = 50%, Max amount = 100. Any sales order i create is giving me a total of 150. The Max amount set is not working.

Can someone please help me with this?
