Merging Data From Multiple Fields

Hello,
I would like to set value of a field from another field in the same module.
I tryed following. But it did not work.
How can i do that?

Hello,
It fetches data from another doctype.
In my case:
I am creating a new doctype. In the form there are field1, field2 and field3.
I would like to pull values from field1 and field2 into => field3
